as someone working for a publishing company and daily having to have to fill out marketing forms and various copywriting insallments, i STRONGLY RESENT this statement. Likeliest of all, whoever was entering the information into whichever web site, had done so out of their heads, or, simply wrong. I submit information to amazon.com almost monthly, and they screw up information almost every time. I hesitate to answer who has the correct age for the book at hand, but i assure you, it has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with american kids vs. canadian kids. above all, you, as a scientist, should well be aware of the fact that this sort of generalization based on two sources is completely ungrounded and, um... well... just really damn shitty... scientifically speaking, of course.
